Dr. Lindsay Wiser, DVM
Dr. Lindsay Wiser was raised with a love of animals that all began with her own childhood pets - a yellow lab and a black cat. She discovered her love of veterinary medicine as a kennel person at the Oregon Humane Society and began her pursuit to become a veterinarian in college. She received a BS in Physiology from the University of Washington and went on to attend Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She received advanced training by completing a rotating internship at the Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle and has been practicing in the Seattle area for the past 10 years as an associate veterinarian and more recently as a relief veterinarian. Dr.Wiser has worked extensively with Dr. Serratore and the Normandy Animal Hospital staff over the past few years helping Dr. Serratore work towards retirement. She recently accepted the full time role of Principal Doctor at Normandy Animal Hospital and is excited to continue providing excellent and loving care to all of our patients and clients! In her free time, Dr. Wiser enjoys spending time outdoors, doing DIY projects and spending time with her husband and three young daughters.
Dr. Xuân Mai Võ, DVM
Dr. Vo grew up in Switzerland and the Boston area and decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine when she realized she preferred to treat horse wounds rather than actually prepare for her riding lessons. She is a graduate of the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and has earned additional professional certifications in veterinary acupuncture and pain management. Throughout her career, Dr. Vo has worked in private practice, shelter medicine, and academia. She maintains a deep commitment to improving the quality of life of animals and supporting the bond between animals and their families. When she's not working she can be found in the mountains: riding her bike, building single track trails, sawing for the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance, backcountry skiing, and teaching avalanche safety...or, at home snuggling her black cat.
Beth Weiner, LVT
Beth has been an animal lover for as long as she can remember and even turned her laundry room into her own veterinary clinic as a young child to treat her family pets and stuffed animals. Her parents even gave her a pygmy goat named Necessary growing up and together they won many Grand Champion 4-H ribbons at the King County Fair. She began her veterinary career at Normandy Animal Hospital in 2001 during her senior year of high school. She is a graduate of Pierce College’s Veterinary Technology program and earned her veterinary technician license in 2003. She continued working full time at Normandy while earning her AA and working towards a BA in Business Administration from Central Washington University. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is when young pets come in, watching them grow and caring for them into their senior years. On her days off she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, playing soccer, all things Seattle sports, and fostering old dogs, cats and any animal that needs care.
Whitney’s love for animals began when she was young. She always had a house full of animals growing up and a big sister who made a veterinary clinic in their laundry room, yes, her big sister is Beth! These years of watching her sister, made her want to help animals and give them the lives they deserve. She began her veterinary career in 2010 here at Normandy Animal Hospital and is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technology program at Penn Foster. She loves the challenge of working with patients who can not speak for themselves and working with the veterinarian to find out what is ailing them. In her free time, she can be found camping, fishing, jeeping and exploring in nature with her husband, 2 labs, 2 cats, and bunny rabbit.
Silvana has always taken in little birds, kittens, pregnant cats and puppies that needed a warm place to stay. Being Peruvian, she traveled to Peru as a child and always wanted to be able to do more for the strays she came across. She started her veterinary career here at Normandy Animal Hospital during her externship for PIMA’s veterinary assistant program in 2018 and is now enrolled in Penn Foster’s Veterinary Technology program. She speaks Spanish fluently, enabling her to discover a love for helping our Latino clients care for their pets. On Sunday mornings you can usually find her sleeping in or eating a really yummy breakfast with her chihuahua Tucker and other 2 dogs, one cat and leopard gecko.
Emely has always had a special place in her heart for animals. She grew up on a little farm, and was always the cousin who would help her grandma feed the cows, goats, chickens, and pigs or pick the fleas off the dogs and cats that arrived. Her veterinary career started at Normandy Animal Hospital in 2016. She worked mostly during summer breaks while attending Washington State University and earned her BS in Animal Sciences in December 2020. Her goal is to be accepted to vet school at Washington State University! When Emely is not with patients at the clinic, she loves painting her nails (she has at least 100 different color choices!) and crafting with her two pom-chi pups. She also loves to sing!
Growing up, Lily’s love for animals was inspired by her father who always brought home animals off the streets that needed a home. She learned that animals can be the most loving, caring and forgiving creatures. Lily wanted to make a difference and lend a helping paw. She started in veterinary medicine in 2018 and joined us at Normandy Animal Hospital in 2020. She is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Assistant program at Penn Foster. On her days off, Lily can be found cuddling on the couch with her cat, Bonita, or being outdoors camping and hiking. She can even be found drawing... Her hidden talent!
